Winter Fest and Games On the last weekend in January, Lake Altoona is transformed into a festival grounds. Fest-goers are treated to local musical entertainment, motor sports racing, and a host of other activities. A state snowmobile trail runs to Lake Altoona and an additional “road” is added on the Seymour side of the lake. Shuttle bus service is available from three locations.
Taste of the Valley On the first weekend in June, Phoenix Park becomes a festival grounds celebrating the culinary arts and showcasing the fine restaurants in our area. Fest-goers have musical entertainment throughout the day and the kiddies have plenty to do as well, so families can spend the day at the park trying out as many great tastes as possible. Join us once again for this family friendly community event.
Altoona Big Bang On the first Saturday in July, Altoona’s Cinder City Park is transformed into a festival ground where fest-goers are treated to local musical entertainment, a large Fireworks display and a host of other activities. Join us for this community event. Nearly 3,000 to 5,000 visitors are expected to attend this event.
